> Back from France, New Jersey, Orlando and MIAMIIIIII <

Gosh its been a while since my last update... Sorry for the slackness!

Didn't take too many photos while i was out there, more video really - so be sure to check out my new superinternet videoblog biznizz at:

www.johnbtv.co.uk

There's videos from all my recent gigs on there - apart from the big US tour in Jan/Feb - I've got 2 hrs of footage to edit down from there - a bit too much a mammoth task for my jetlagged brain right now...

Anyway, here's the photos, I'll try to write up anythinteresting later:

> More Miami Pics <

Here's a few more photos from my trip to Miami for the Winter Music Conference, taken by my friend Jen B...

Me DJing at the URB party at the Remix Hotel - eyes looking a bit scarey...

With Carol, at Tommie Sunshine's Xylophone Jones Daytime Party at the Whitelaw Hotel - I played there a bit later, after we had Tequila Sunrises for Breakfast! A fun day though, got to chill out and listen to some great, interesting music, and it ended up raining too, so it was great to be doing something cool rather than being annoyed we couldn't sunbathe!

At Tremors with LisaDNB and friends

The Kareoke party on Tuesday - doing Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" - Carol and Francis were my backup dancers just like in the video! hah! I did that one much better than the WHAM! song - which I have full video of too... Watch this space...

At Club Empire - LTJ Bukem in the Background

There ya go... I'll upload this kareoke video later today if you're lucky (or unlucky - depends on how you look at it)... Went up to Swerve in London last night for Martin's birthday - Total Science and Fabio played, some good tunes indeed. Had a quick chat with Bukem on the way out, and did some robot dancing with DJ Flight. Oh, haha and some guy kept on bumping into me at the bar, or at least it felt like that at the time - I thought he was trying to be territorial or something cos I'd bought champagne (cheap house champagne) cos it was Martin's Birthday, and so had his gang - but anywayyyy - I chatted to him later and it turned out he was grooverider's brother - I shoudl have spotted the resemblance - come to think of it now they look mega-similar and he totally talked like grooverider - it was like the dark-spirit of grooverider had possessed a younger body! FreeeKy!

Anyway - my jetlag-reducing quest has suffered a setback as a result - we got the 335 train back - so I didnt get back to Maidenhead and my bed till 5am-ish - yet again I'm going over to my parents for their 'dinner' which for me is breakfast! hah! My grandma's back at the moment, so I'm taking her out shopping next week to buy a deck chair... (Don't ask!)

> ohhh Vienna! <

Just got back from Vienna - played a wiKKid party there on Saturday night! Bumped into Klute at the airport and had a quick chat, then as we were waslking to the departures bit, we found Ray Keith AND Baron... Klute was on the way to Germany, but it turned out Ray & Baron were due to play in Vienna as well, just at another party - was good to catch up anyway.

Had to sit next to someone with a crying baby, who had done a big poo in its daiper on the plane, so that was a bit yuK. I managed to move to another seat easily though once the poO was stinKing! hahah.

Had the national dish (apparently) for dinner - Wienerschnitzel - yumyumyum! I liked it so much I went back to the same place for breakfast and had it again! Hah!

So the party was genius! Really big club, and pretty much full to capacity - about 800 people there, really good crowd and vibe - I played longer than I was supposed to as well! Hah. I think my set was recorded, so hopefully in a few days I might be able to link you all to an Mp3... OH, gawd - You'll hear me on the MIC then too - there was no MC (a relief) but I asked for MIC so I coudl say hello to the crowd, adn try out some of my German... Was a bit drunk towards the end, so I hope they understood me!

After the gig we went out to a fastfood schnellimbiss place to get a WuRsTbuRger - and ended up talking to some drunk old men football hooligan types, and one of them was explaining how he was a teddy boy rockabilly or something, adn into all teddy boy music.. Bizarre. Alas the battery on my video camera ran out, I left it on in my bag by accident, but i took a few little video clips with my normal camera - here they are:

John B in Vienna : Mini-Clip No. 1
John B in Vienna : Mini-Clip No. 2

And here's all the pictures I got:

> Busy Weekend <

I think I've cracked the jetlag though! yay... Just in time for my trip to NYC this coming weekend, so I can mess it all up again!

Had a busy week - played at Dylan & Robyn's Therapy sessions in Bristol on Wednesday, which was fabbbulous - got to premiere my Billy Idol re-edit! hahah. The crazedMonSt3RjuglistSz took to it suprisingly well! Had to drive up there on my owneyown though, all my mates with responsible 9-5 working lives flaked out on me in favour of losing their jobs for being too tired the next day - how selfish! Nah, its ok guys, I understand...

Worked on studio stuff on Thursday I think, and treated myself to some Tesco's Finest Permier Cru Chablis - absolutely GORGEOUS. So gorgeous I gorged it all.

Went to EuRoPe for the weekend for 2 gigs with Exile - we played in Brussels for the Hydra Breaks guys on Friday, then drove over the border (only 1.5 hrs) to Tilberg in the South of Holland. Both gigs were super splendid and raMMed... Only slightly dodge thing was the sound system in Brussels - the promoters had to find an alternative venue at the last minute and the house sound system couldn't quite take our mighty dnB - there were limiters which stopped it from going any louder - so sorry folks! They'll be back with a heavvvvvyyyy system next time though, so don't worry! OH and there was some strippers party thing in the other section of the club, but we remembered too late so didn't get to see any boobies!

Was a bit of a mission the day after, cos I had to wait till everyone else had finished playing before we coudl go back to the hotel, so it was a late one - when we made it to Tilberg I just slept in the hotel, which i think was haunted or something, i kept on hearing some wierd banging - and it was next to a churCh... The gig was mighty - sound system in there was huGe - as you can hear on the video (uploading tonight) - and it was good to see/hear Exile do his laptop live set finally - very impressive... OH HAHAH, and at this venue, the other part of the club was closed off for a big GhAY pride festival party thing, so we gatecrashed it and saw all teh drag queens and stuff, there was some funny old guy dressed up in rubber, adn we met some guys in matching army man outfits - but the drag queens were crazy - hahaha I met one that was telling me (in perfect English) how (s)he had driven for 2 hours cos (s)he'd won a competition to do a Tina Turner impersonation live show thing, and it sucked cos they wouldn't let her anymore - (s)he totally looked like Tina Turner too, shame. I got a little bit of video from in there towards the end of the tape, so make sure you persevere if you check it out later (will be at www.john-b.com)

EdiTTe: Video is now up - Chegggit out here baybee: CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO FROM THIS WEEK

Hmm, can't think of anything else really, just been doing admin today, adn posting web-orders. Found out the new cellphone I want has been delayed another 3 weeks, which is lame. Oh but I did get my new super hotline phone for the living room - a refurbished bright red old-style phone with bells in it - like the one you always expect the president to have on his desk, direct line to the pentagon and all that... Anywayy... CatchyU later folks... Here's the pics...

THis is the flier for the party in Belgium:

Tim (Exile) on the phone in the hotel...

Crowd in Tilberg

Signing a broken leg in BRistol (dude came to the club on crutches! SOLDIER!)

Holland

Belgium

Drunk guy in Belgium

Belgium crowd again

Holland massive

Holland again (geez all these club pics i take are like the same shot of me trying to look cool, superimposed over a blurry club background! erG... I will try to make them more interesting and different in future... sorry...)

I think this was in the hotel, but I honestly can't remember - anyway it was a big BOAR head on the wall. Rarrr.

OH YEAH! THey had this ROBoT guy come to dance during my set in Holland - MenTaL! Poor guy was getting so hot in the costume though, he had to go away and take off his mask, and paint his head silver instead! I spoke to him afterwards and he was still wheezing! Whooahh, a roBotwRRi0R

So I managed to get my Gran on DOA...

Edit: Here's some more I pilfered from AnnaFromZootemeyer's blog:

> Flyers for my gig in Budapest - May 21 <

Here's the flyer artwork for my gig in Budapest in a few weeks...

Not up to much today, been and posted a few orders from my Webstore, had the security guy round to do the yearly test of my burglar alarm etc, ordered some new rollerblades (this time with brakes) and just getting ready for my gig in London tonight, am playing a special electro & 80s set at the Therapy Sessions 2nd Birthday party at Herbal, up in Hoxton - should be a laugh. Am going up there with Mattrick, and meeting up with some guys that will be filming the video for my new single "Remember Tonight" (you can hear clips in the audio section at www.john-b.com).

Also gota pack whatever for this weekend, I'm going over to NYC to hang out with Carol - I think we're going to go to Larry Tee's new night "Distortion Disko" at Duvet on Thursday, should be a laugh.

Am listening to some old Genesis right now, "Invisible Touch" - the album. Great stuff. Am trying to catch up on my Genesis, never really got into them when I was younger, so trying to make up for it now...
